Anh Ho (Jack)
PhD Student at The University of Melbourne, working under the supervision of Dr. Bach Le and Dr. Christine Rizkallah.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. During my time there, I underwent a transformative experience that encouraged me to think outside the box and push my limits. This environment inspired me to conceive innovative initiatives for my research. Also, what’s best fortune is to be advised by my supervisor Dr. Mai-Anh Bui, who inspired my passion for research. This was followed by collaborating with Dr. Phuong Nguyen, who introduced me to various aspects of research. Under the guidance of both my supervisors, I explored two primary research topics - Software Defect Prediction
and Code Smell Detection
. Additionally, I engaged in discussions with my labmates and supervisors about topics such as Fault Localization
, Software Testing
, Code Summarization
.
During my senior year, I had great opportunities to be advised by Dr. Bach Le on the research topic of Automated Program Repair
. This experience provided me with a comprehensive view of Software Debugging
, covering on detection, localization (both my previous preferred research topics), testing and repairing (my current focus).
